Ivana and Marija Curic, identical twins born in Croatia and the brains behind the fashion label Curic&Curic, have been singled out once again as one of the industry’s brightest talents.
Ivana and Marija are two of the five designers picked from thousands of applicants to take part in the first-ever handbag designer incubator.
The Signal Brands Collective is the first incubator for handbag designers, and it has partnered with the Independent Handbag Designer Awards to create mini collections of “hero bags.”

“We are the only Croatian Designers to be selected for a second time to be a part of the fashion incubator founded by prominent and awarded fashion powerhouses like IHDA Founder, Emily Blumenthal and Signal Brands, who worked with brands like Guess, Nine West, etc.,” Ivana and Marija said.
New York-based Marija and Ivana, originally from Osijek, Croatia, founded the eco-friendly brand Curic&Curic.
Back in 2020, their Blue Dahlia bag, made of eco-friendly denim, won the Independent Handbag Design Award.
The sisters have also performed at several charity events, using their talents to benefit good causes in both the United States and their native Croatia.
