IIT Kharagpur of India is accepting applications for a free online course on 5G technology. Air interface is a key differentiator between 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, and it will be the focus of an eight-week course titled Evolution of Air Interface Towards 5G.
Students at the senior undergraduate level, graduate students, MS and PhD candidates, and working engineers in wireless communications will all benefit from taking this course, but it is open to anyone who is interested.
As of right now, 1,340 students are enrolled in the course that will be taught by Suvra Sekhar Das, associate professor at the G S Sanyal School of Telecommunications at IIT Kharagpur.
There is no cost associated with taking this class.
The Institute offers a proctored exam for students interested in earning certification. The cost of the exam is one thousand rupees.

The candidate’s final exam score will determine whether or not they receive an electronic certificate.
The final grade will be based 75% on the proctored certification exam and 25% on the average assignment grade. Six out of the eight assignments for the course will be averaged to determine the final grade.
There will be no paper copies of the electronic certificate available.

You can enrol in the class through the website, but you’ll need to provide your email address to do so.
Specific times and dates:
The dates for the 20th of February 2023 to the 14th of April 2023 course run.
The last day to sign up is February 20th, 2023.
The test will be given twice that day, at different times: 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM.
